The Regency Women’s Club Featured Charities – Learn More!
Our program for the RWC September lunch will feature our two chosen Charities we have committed to raise much needed funds for through the creative efforts of our Fundraising Committee. They are:
Willing Warriors
Willing Warriors Retreat at Bull Run provides cost-free retreat stays and programs that positively impact wounded, ill, and injured service members, disabled Veterans, and their families.
Sarah Ford, Executive Director for Willing Warriors will tell us more about its Retreat Expansion and how the retreat has helped “Willing Warriors’ suffering from PTSD “Post Traumatic Stress & Traumatic Brain Injury, the “invisible” wounds that can challenge an entire family for a lifetime overcome day to day challenges and nurture their recovery process by having a chance to relax, bond and enjoy quality time with their family.
Crossroads-Connection
This is a Christian community service organization that provides a Weekend Food Program for food insecure children in the public schools in the local PWC area. Its goal is to alleviate hunger as an obstruction to learning. Andy Zembower, Director of Crossroads Connection will give us further insight on how its program has made a positive impact on the lives of so many children in need.
