About UsMission The mission of the Regency Women’s Club is multifaceted. The organization strives to cultivate friendly association among its members; to provide opportunities to its members for participation in cultural, recreational, and intellectual activities; to promote community service projects for educational and philanthropic purposes; and to support the interests of the Regency at Dominion Valley community. Message from the RWC President RWC President's Message RWC 2021-2022 Regency Women’s Club President Message It is my privilege to serve as the President of the Regency Women’s Club again this year and I am grateful to be surrounded by such a caring group of women who serve on committees with open hearts and commitment to those in need. As I start my second year as your RWC President I would be remiss if I did not mention that lessons have been learned through this pandemic year. This past year was both challenging and rewarding but incredible in terms of enthusiasm and support for our Women’s Club and its charitable giving to our community. Many thanks go out to last year’s RWC Board for bringing us through a truly challenging year. We navigated the pandemic obstacles, kept our members engaged and we did our best to support the community as we have done in the past. It is my hope that we are able to continue to meet safely but we will continue to monitor safety guidelines and adhere to public policy. We ended our last year with our first and last RWC luncheon in June and we honored scholarship recipients, reconnected with neighbors and friends and enjoyed hearing about the accomplishments of the RWC from committee VP’s and chairs. To start this year, in July, our Women’s Club has already sponsored a Regency Community wide Back To School drive collecting $5,540.00 in monetary donations and additional back packs and other school supplies valued at $4,730 which was donated to Northern Virginia Family Services to help to prepare children in need for the start of the school year. Congratulations ladies for a job well done. Our luncheon meetings are back thanks to our hard-working Program Committee. Our first RWC Luncheon/General Meeting will be held on September 2nd. Please plan to attend and enjoy Violinist, Jaime McArdle. As you will see this year we have several community service projects and fundraising events planned to support our named charity for the year “Boxes of Basics”. The “Oktoberfest” scheduled for September 22, 2021 will start the year off with food, music and free German Beer while it lasts. Plan to attend by signing up through the Regency calendar and look for our “Sweet Shop” in December and the Golf Tournament in the spring. If you are a new member you can join the RWC by accessing the form on our website, https://www.rwc-dv.org/membership.html or renew your membership with a check for $25.00 payable to RWC by either submitting your check and form at the luncheon or mail to P.O. Box 145, Haymarket, VA 20168. Please join or renew your membership today and continue our legacy of bringing positive, transformative change to so many in our community. Our women’s club membership will continue to provide an opportunity to connect with a community that offers belonging and purpose. Thanks again for your support.
