Welcome ! Founded in April 2006, Regency Women's Club is open to all women in the Regency at Dominion Valley community. General membership luncheon meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Regency clubhouse. January 2, 2025 Luncheon Highlights
Happy New Year! RWC members and friends gathered for the first luncheon of the new year and enjoyed a delicious Italian buffet, complete with scrumptious Tiramisu! Gina Missett gave the Thought for the Day telling us about her recent involvement in RWC and how much we do for the community at large and how RWC lives up to is motto: "Enriched by friendship, dedicated to service." She encouraged others to join RWC Committees. We welcomed Mindy West and Laura Newbury, formerly from the FDIC, who discussed fraud prevention - how to identify it and how to avoid it. You may view the slide show here Congratulations to our Dodi Myers Scholarship winners: Sarah Rudy, Mary Ginty, Sue Flynn, Dale Walden, Carol Hobday, and Mary Lynn Applegate! Your ticket purchases support The Dodi Myers Scholarship Fund. Go to the Photos Page for more about the luncheon A Message from our Executive President
Dear RWC Members, The new Regency Women’s Club Executive Board has had its first meeting and is in the process of making plans for 2024-2025. As we go into our 19th year, I think it is important to emphasize the significant contribution that the Regency Women’s Club has made in our community. In the last 10 years, we have donated over $112,000 to various charities and given over $68,000 in scholarships As we enter a new term, we want to recognize your role in our successful 2023-2024 season and that of some of our key people and committees. In particular, I would like to recognize Joan Hughes and the Community Service Committee; Mary Jo Rigby and the Fundraising Committee; and Nancy Converse, President and the Board for their hard work and dedication to our charities. Our accomplishments for this past year were:
Nancy Converse and the Program Committee will be meeting this summer to plan new programs and menus for our monthly meetings. I hope to see all of you at our first meeting. Plan to bring your neighbors who are not members so they can see what the Regency Women’s Club is all about. They can attend two luncheons without being members. Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you at our September luncheon. , Liz Anderson Executive President, Regency Women’s Club Officers for the RWC 2024-2025 season President - Liz Anderson Executive VP - Carol Bowen VP Community Service - Joan Hughes VP Programs - Nancy Converse VP Fund Raising - Elaine Hughes Treasurer - Ethel Muter Recording Secretaries - Hattie Thurman and Anne Pederson Corresponding Secretary - Jane Brown Appointed: Membership - Nora Blau Bi-Laws - Liz Coughlin Publicity - Lee Lipscomb Thank you from the Regency Women’s Club
As you may know, the RWC’s primary mission is to serve the community through charitable projects and fundraisers. The Regency at Dominion Valley community never ceases to amaze us through your generosity and caring support of these efforts. This past year you have helped us meet, and more often, exceed our goals. The food and monetary donations, donations of teddy bears, coat and school supplies, blood donations, Holiday Gift Program and more have made a difference in our surrounding community. Every single thing you do helps someone else. For that we are truly grateful. You are the bright lights. Thanks to so many of you for coming out, volunteering, and supporting our club and the charitable works we do every month. We have begun our Membership Drive for the 2024-2025 season. The new form is here for printing. |
