A Message from our Executive President

Dear RWC Members,

The new Regency Women’s Club Executive Board has had its first meeting and is in the process of making plans for 2024-2025.

As we go into our 19th year, I think it is important to emphasize the significant contribution that the Regency Women’s Club has made in our community.  In the last 10 years, we have donated over $112,000 to various charities and given over $68,000 in scholarships

As we enter a new term, we want to recognize your role in our successful 2023-2024 season and that of some of our key people and committees.  In particular, I would like to recognize
Joan Hughes and the Community Service Committee; Mary Jo Rigby and the Fundraising Committee; and Nancy Converse, President and the Board for their hard work and dedication to our charities.

Our accomplishments for this past year were:
  • Awarded $2,000 to each of our four NOVA scholarship winners, totaling $8,000.
  • Awarded $10,000 each to our two charities, Wounded Warriors and Crossroads Connection.  Plus $2,000 to Manassas ArtFactory.
  • Netted $10,432 in school supplies and checks in our back-to-school community-wide collection.
  • Supported Pace West School by donating $200 for graduation and teachers' lunch.
  • Collected $10,000 in toys and gift cards for Northern Virginia Family Services.
  • Donated five hundred eyeglasses and many eyeglass cases to the Lions Club.
  • Collected 88 pairs of children's shoes for Boxes of Basics.
  • Organized two Regency blood drives that netted 66 pints of blood for INOVA.
  • Baked 56 dozen cookies and muffins and delivered them to our local helpers.
  • Conducted monthly bingo games at Gainesville Rehabilitation Center.
  • Assembled and delivered 13 Holiday baskets to Meals on Wheels clients.
  • Collected over 300 coats plus hats, scarves, and mittens worth a total of $13,540 to benefit the children of SERVE and Boxes of Basics.
  • Raised $21,066 in our annual community-wide collection to benefit The Haymarket Food Pantry.

Nancy Converse and the Program Committee will be meeting this summer to plan new programs and menus for our monthly meetings.
I hope to see all of you at our first meeting.  Plan to bring your neighbors who are not members so they can see what the Regency Women’s Club is all about.  They can attend two luncheons without being members.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you at our September luncheon.
                                                                                                ,

Thank you from the Regency Women’s Club
As you may know, the RWC’s primary mission is to serve the community through charitable projects and fundraisers.
The Regency at Dominion Valley community never ceases to amaze us through your generosity and caring support of these efforts.
This past year you have helped us meet, and more often, exceed our goals.
The food and monetary donations, donations of teddy bears, coat and school supplies, blood donations, Holiday Gift Program and more have made a difference in our surrounding community.
Every single thing you do helps someone else.  For that we are truly grateful.

 You are the bright lights.

Thanks to so many of you for coming out, volunteering, and supporting our club and the charitable works we do every month.
We have begun our Membership Drive for the 2024-2025 season.
The new form is here for printing.
