November Luncheon Highlights!
We had wonderful turnout as members and friends came to hear
Andrew Och, The First Ladies Man!
~~~
Mary Howell gave our Thought for the Day
"You are not growing older—you are growing bolder. Every wrinkle tells a story, every silver strand shines with wisdom. This season of life is not a sunset, but a sunrise of freedom, grace, and unapologetic joy. You are the living proof that strength wears pearls and wisdom walks in comfortable shoes. Your laughter has healed hearts, your hands have built legacies, and your spirit still lights up every room. Here's to living fully, laughing freely, and loving fiercely—at every age. Keep blooming---your most beautiful chapters may still be ahead."
Andrew Och, otherwise know at The First Ladies Man, engaged us all in his talk about many of the First Ladies he has documented over the years.
Dear RWC Members.
The Regency Women’s Club had a successful year 2024-2025, with 183 members.
As we enter our 20th year, it is essential to highlight the significant contributions that the Regency Women’s Club has made to our community. In the last 10 years, we have donated approximately $122,010 to various charities and given over $68,248 in scholarships. These numbers do not include special projects we have done throughout the years.
As we enter a new term, we would like to acknowledge your role in our successful 2024-2025 season, and the entire Board for their hard work and dedication to our charities.
Our accomplishments for this past year were:
  • Awarded $2,000 to EACH to our four NOVA scholarship winners, totaling $8,000.
  • Awarded $4,000 to the Virginia Women and Family Support Center and $6,000 to the Manassas ArtFactory.
  • Netted $11,327 in school supplies and checks in our back-to-school community-wide collection.
  • Packed 118 snack bags for kids at the HRFP containing 129 lbs. of snacks plus $295 in checks.
  • Collected $10,165 in toys and gift cards for Northern Virginia Family Services.
  • Collected 146 pairs of new sneakers for Boxes of Basics.
  • Organized two Regency blood drives that netted 72 pints of blood for INOVA.
  • Conducted monthly bingo games at Gainesville Rehabilitation Center.
  • Assembled and delivered 15 Holiday baskets to Meals on Wheels clients.
  • Collected over 300 coats plus hats, scarves, and mittens worth a total of $13,540 to benefit the children of SERVE and Boxes of Basics.
  • Raised $21,280 in our annual community-wide collection to benefit The Haymarket Regional Food Pantry.
Another major accomplishment was that the RWC became a 501(c)3 charitable organization. This means that any donations you give to the Women's Club can be tax-deductible.
For our 20th Anniversary, Nancy Converse and the Program Committee have been meeting to plan some exciting, innovative programs and menus for our monthly meetings. I hope to see all of you at our first luncheon on September 4th. We are always seeking new members and new ideas.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing you at our September luncheon.
Liz Anderson
Executive President, Regency Women’s Club
Thank you from the Regency Women’s Club
As you may know, the RWC’s primary mission is to serve the community through charitable projects and fundraisers.
The Regency at Dominion Valley community never ceases to amaze us through your generosity and caring support of these efforts.
This past year you have helped us meet, and more often, exceed our goals.
The food and monetary donations, donations of teddy bears, coat and school supplies, blood donations, Holiday Gift Program and more have made a difference in our surrounding community.
Every single thing you do helps someone else.  For that we are truly grateful.
 You are the bright lights.
